Beyond Sleepless Nights

Sleep's question swapped for love's unknown, A Google search, a seed is sown. "How to fall?" the query rings, A heart that swore it wouldn't sing. Love's not renounced, just trust misplaced, Easy surrenders, hearts defaced. Now racing pulse and empty purse, A double beat, a charming curse. Falling's messy, that much is true, But growth takes time, a gentler hue. No crystal ball, the path unseen, But measured steps, a heart serene. Yet still you trip me, make me fall, This love unplanned, enthralls it all. So let it bloom, a slow embrace, A grounded love, a steady pace

Sweet was his love

Sweet was his love, draped in honey, garnished with chocolate. Soft was his love, wool stood no chance. I was the marrow in his bone. Oh, how wondrous was his love! He was the sun that shone throughout my day, the gravity that held me down in every way, the smile on my face. I was so lucky to call him my husband. He was hilarious, charming, kind, warm-hearted, smart, sexy – everything a woman could ever dream of. I loved every little thing about him. Loving him was like a dream come true. Then… in a blink of an eye, the man I once knew vanished in the night. Cold flames of truth coursed through the wind. Now, each day the pigment of my skin reminds me of who I am: Black, bold, beaten, dirty, and unclothed. My soul is delightful and my voice is delicate when I beg for scraps. When did I lose my voice? When did you stop seeing me? It's like I'm not there, but I'm right in front of you.  What went wrong, I wonder?  Now the scent of blood feels familiar. The scent of beer and s...

Love Her As She Is

A plea for clarity, a heart laid bare, This message meant for one who truly cares. A woman stands, a fortress built of scars, Her wants unspoken, reaching for the stars. They turn a deaf ear, or pretend not to hear, Her voice a whisper, lost in doubt and fear. Complex she may be, a tangled web of dreams, But respect the storm, the way her spirit gleams. No hero's rescue, past knights left her cold, Empty promises, a story yet untold. She craves no savior, just a hand to hold, Actions speak louder, a truth yet to unfold. Desires unspoken, a fire in her soul, She yearns for gestures, to make her feel whole. A life of battles, hard-won victories claimed, Asking feels like weakness, a game she's never named. Rejection's sting, a wound that cuts so deep, So silence reigns, secrets her heart to keep. A loner by choice, a survivor at heart, No damsel in distress, she'll tear her world apart. Burdens self-inflicted, promises in vain, Just be present, share the sun and rain. Her...

Sweet Poison

Love's cruel grip, a tangled, wicked thread, Blinding whispers fill my heart with dread. A wild beast unleashed, I'm hypnotized, This feeling of love, I deeply despise. No control, a surrender, a piece I give away, A sacrifice for "us," a bitter price to pay. Why can't I have it all? Why must I choose? This love's a tyrant, with power to confuse. Romeo's fate, a love forbidden's snare, I yearn for freedom, a life without a care. But you unveil me, a stranger in your gaze, Lost in this love song, a muddled, lovesick maze. Vulnerability exposed, a shield laid bare, Love, a tormentor, a burden I can't bear. Seeing you shine, a magnet pulls me near, Yet every step closer, fuels a growing fear. A torture so sweet, your presence in the air, A longing for your face, a constant, burning prayer. Each message a wait, a test of patience worn, This love's delicious poison, a battle to be borne. The hate I confess, a mask that hides the truth, For in your e...

Not Like This

I’ve loved others before, But it was not like this, Whenever I thought of you  My body shivers with desire & bliss Where my thought is of you, I lose strength from  yearning, And if I can’t have you soon, I’ll be consumed by the fire. The pleasures of romance. The crazy thoughts  I'm able to share with you  I've never felt like this  Weirdly you are my refuge  I think of you when I yearn for fulfillment  My passion for you is deep  It keeps evolving Thoughts of you make my body sizzle  I can guide my heart  But my body belongs to you  I yearn for you, I long for you,  I ache for you... Please bring everything  I desire in your incomparable self. Please come to me.  Please come to me. Because I have never felt like this

Haunted by Your Ghost

Your words, a burst of tropic fire, Passion fruit's sweet, a burning desire. A gaze that pierces, an arrow's delight, Branding my soul with a searing light. Though fate's a question, one thing's for sure, The ghost of your touch will forever endure. Last night's dream, a memory that clings, Your kisses, a whisper on waking wings. A vision unfolds, a love's sweet decree, Your eyes locked on mine, then a kiss sets me free. Butterflies flutter, a heart takes its flight, In that dream's embrace, I knew love at first sight. Starving for you, a hunger that burns, For your voice, your touch, a love that yearns. You're the flame that ignites, the light in my core, Burning for you, to crave nothing more. Dreams paint a story, a whispered desire, A scream in the dark, where love sets the fire. Your soul on my lips, a passion untold, So near yet so distant, a story unfolds. These dreams, a lifeline, a flame I hold dear, But the need for you now banishes fear. I cra...

Sweet torment

A crush, a curse, a tangled web I weave, But tangled on you, a fate I can't conceive. This frantic rush, a pounding in my chest, Your name a scream, a secret I can't suppress. A message pops up, a smile blooms so wide, My traitorous heart, in you it finds its guide. My mind's a whirlwind, a constant, looping track, Obsessed by you, a thought I can't retract. The curse of vanity, a sudden fashion plight, What if I see you? What should I wear tonight? Nervous laughter, a stumbling, awkward gait, This crushing weight, a love I can't abate. A jealous pang, a sting I can't deny, When other girls catch your captivating eye. A silent wish, a whispered, yearning plea, For you to feel this spark, to reciprocate for me. You tease and play, a playful, careless air, Yet every touch ignites a flame, a love beyond compare. I hate this feeling, this whirlwind in my soul, But a grateful heart, a story yet untold. For even though this crush, a torment in disguise, It landed upon...

A Love Story!!

It has never been difficult for me to write a love story. Some might believe it stems from my own rich love life, but the truth is, I weave lines from the predictable lies people tell. It breaks my heart to see women clinging to these fantasies, but what can they do? A pure heart will always believe in love's promise.  The inevitable heartbreak when reality crashes down is a painful truth, yet an unavoidable part of life. Witnessing these falls doesn't make writing love stories any harder. I keep a well of inspiration from all the movies I've seen, each depicting love as a guaranteed happily ever after. But we both know where the lie is. Love itself remains a mystery to me. It can leave you feeling hollow and yet, make you whole again. I naively thought writing about it would spark understanding, but no. Love's power can build you up and tear you down in equal measure.  Perhaps love's elusiveness stems from its residence within our souls. It's intangible, unseen...

Wild Heart, Free Spirit

A tangled web she weaves, a mess so bright, A paradox of beauty, a captivating sight. Adored and scorned, a storm within her eyes, A fire that burns, a spirit that never dies. This mess she wears, a badge of wild delight, Adorable chaos, a captivating light. They crave her presence, a treasure to behold, But fleeting moments, a story yet untold. Love's embers flicker, a guarded, tender flame, Fairytales of forever, a whispered, mocking name. Too sweet the promise, a truth she can't embrace, So she hunts her own fortune, a self-made, fearless pace. No tethered heart for her, no chase, no plea, She hunts for solace, wild and gloriously free. Pursue, entrap her, a game she'll surely win, For only on her terms, her love will let you in. No room for regrets, no dwelling on the past, From every misstep, a lesson learned at last. A defiant spirit, a "no" that means "begin," A world of her own making, where chaos lets her win. Replaceable? Never, a gem beyond co...

Easier Unseen

My mind rebels, a war it cannot win, "Don't think of you," the battle cry within. But memories linger, a bittersweet refrain, Missing you, a truth that whispers in the rain. You pushed me back, a wall you built so strong, A whispered "no" that lingered far too long. Yet, yearning whispers, a silent, pleading plea, For a whispered "yes," for you to set me free. Begging feels wrong, a path I shouldn't tread, But the urge remains, a teardrop left unsaid. Confusion reigns, a puzzle incomplete, Your presence lingers, a phantom, bittersweet. Love's embers glow, a fire I can't deny, Yearning for your ear, a chance to justify. Blame falls upon me, a burden self-inflicted, For you and us, a story uncompleted. "It's not you," you claimed, a comfort turned to ash, A hollow phrase that leaves a burning gash. Reason stands at bay, a logic undefined, Wishing for your hand, a way to leave it behind. Easier, perhaps, a path we didn't take...
