Love's Sweet Whisper
Sun streams in, lazy daydream's delight,
Phone rings a jolt, my heart takes flight.
It's him, a whisper, "Wait, play it cool, girl,"
But waiting's a torture, a world that won't unfurl.
One ring, two rings, then I grab with a grin,
Giggles erupt, the room starts to spin.
His voice, a sweet song, a magical balm,
Chasing away worries, calming the storm.
Words tumble out, a nervous display,
But he's gentle and honest, lights up my day.
Compliments shower, I try to look tough,
But a smile blooms wide, a heart filled with fluff.
Love's touch, a feeling I never quite knew,
Maybe it's trouble, a bittersweet hue.
Sweetness and ease, a feeling so right,
One call, and my friends hear of him all night.
The sweet taste of love lingers on my tongue,
A flavour so exotic, like a song unsung.
The rush of emotions, both thrill and fear,
A dance of passion, a future unclear.
So come, dear love, and hold my hand,
A journey we'll take, with no map or plan.
The future's a mystery, a path unknown,
But the sweetness of love is ours to own.
One step at a time
