Unspoken Desire

New boy in town, somethin' different there,

Makes my heart thump, a feeling I can't share.

Always love new, the spark and the chase,

But they burn out fast, leaving no trace.

Hope it stays this way, don't wanna say "nay."

Told him "I'm trouble," a warning to see,

No words at all, just pure delight.

Maybe he wants more, that's what I thought,

But just my attention, that's all he sought.

Scared I should be, but still I don't run,

Feelin' kinda bad, like something's not done.

Love who I love, that's always true,

But why do I crave someone new?

Emotions mess up, like a tangled mess,

Lust or love, hard to confess.

Maybe I'm bored, that's all it could be,
