Sweet torment

A crush, a curse, a tangled web I weave,

But tangled on you, a fate I can't conceive.

This frantic rush, a pounding in my chest,

Your name a scream, a secret I can't suppress.

A message pops up, a smile blooms so wide,

My traitorous heart, in you it finds its guide.

My mind's a whirlwind, a constant, looping track,

Obsessed by you, a thought I can't retract.

The curse of vanity, a sudden fashion plight,

What if I see you? What should I wear tonight?

Nervous laughter, a stumbling, awkward gait,

This crushing weight, a love I can't abate.

A jealous pang, a sting I can't deny,

When other girls catch your captivating eye.

A silent wish, a whispered, yearning plea,

For you to feel this spark, to reciprocate for me.

You tease and play, a playful, careless air,

Yet every touch ignites a flame, a love beyond compare.

I hate this feeling, this whirlwind in my soul,

But a grateful heart, a story yet untold.

For even though this crush, a torment in disguise,

It landed upon you, the one I idolize.

So with a sigh, this chaos I embrace,

A bittersweet symphony, a love-struck, happy space.
