Sad Love Story

 She had seen a wife in me

She told me I was perfect for her

She had made it her goal to make me the happiest woman in the world

I knew she could give me all the happiness I could ever want,

But I would not be able to give her just half of the happiness she will be offering

I wished I was not broken, so I will be able to keep her

But wishes will always be wishes 

I had to let her down softly 

I couldn't be her lover but I needed her as a friend

Too bad she was in deep with me I lost her

I miss her every day,

I wish I could take back time 

And change the day that she fell in love with me so I could still be her best friend.
